I have no clue for Heihachi and Spawn as i haven't played the PS2 or Xbox versions. But i've heard that Heihachi is similar to his Tekken form, i.e. sucks.

I saw Spawn in play on the Xbox version; he did look very cool, and seemed to have a highly versatile range of moves. Unfortunately, as i said, its on the xbox and the only way i'll ever get one is if i win it in a competition, i'd never part with my hard earned cash for it.

If what OCB says is true, that Heihachi's moves are reminiscent of his Tekken appearances, then i dont see much of a problem. It would be quite interesting to have a bare handed fighter amongst the crowd of weapons wielders.

But judging from what ive seen and heard of the other characters, i still think Link is the superior additional character. He's just so fast, strong, and above all, fun to play as (one of his weapons is a fishing net!).

Then, Heihachi should suffer pain each time he is hit with a sword, for he only have his hands to fight back.

I've figured out why and how Heihachi is in Soul Calibur II. This is an artice from the OCB make-it-up express.

"Heihachi is no longer allowed to take part in the Tekken tourament. It was discovered that due to his old age of 83 years old, to stay fighting, he's needed to have metal implants all over his body. This was kept unknown to the tekken council, but was discovered in his fight with Kuma. Kuma had this to say: "rowr grr grr rer wees garwl." Kuma spoke to the council who called Heihachi in for an inspection. His metal plates were discovered when they dropped a ton of bricks on Heihachi and saw his head fall off. This was the last straw of the council and Heihachi was banned from the tekken with the following charges:
- use of a hidden weapon in a non weapon event,
- links to terrorist systems,
- overage to fight,
- dabbling in genetics,
- rising several evil monsters,
- calling Paul gay,
- animal cruelty,
- lieing to a kawaii girl,
- Building a theme park in his own image,
- soiling himself,
- and murdering his son... twice.

"We were unable to speak to Heihachi, but reports have shown that he has planned to enter Soul Calibur, where his metal plates are allowed, along with is rampant soiling of himself."

IRT Melfice - Good point, but this is what Namco have in their defence of heihachi's bare-handed appearance to the weapons based Soul Calibur scene: he's wearing gauntlets on both arms. I think it will be quite entertaining to play as him, pity we cant have him fight Link...

IRT Melfice - i dunno, to be honest i think that if they had to have someone from Tekken appear in Soul Calibur, it should have been the Panda. I mean come on! There isnt a single animal in Soul Calibur 2 now that Lizardman isnt playable, namco desperately need a cute cuddly nunchaku wielding panda weaved somewhere into the formula. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
